“Foreigners beaware !”
Foreign visitors beware. They overbooked and did not honor our reserved counter seats. We felt disrespected, we booked it over 30 days before !!

“Traditional counter kaiseki meal”
Booked knowing the classic japanese kaiseki counter table setting was in store and so it was. Front the 2 of these I went to this was the best, however I don't think im sold on this for a perfect meal. Got on pretty well with the couple of chefs not really anyone else there. Enjoyed the sake recom...mendation. A 1 star yes but the chef had no interest in this.

“Great chef and great food”
Excellent food and top chef, who is preparing everything fresh in front of you. The flavours are amazing and we always visit whenever we are in Kyoto.

“Fall Masterpiece”
Our first visit. It was an another astonishing food experience in Kyoto. It was a season for Japanese maples turning into red, and the chef presented nothing but the fall by creative way of cooking. Japanese SOBA with bottarga was a small dish but impressive combination. HASSUN was highlight of ...the dinner in which you feel like walking down a path of Ohara where you had been in the morning. Selection of SAKE was also very satisfactory. We definitely want to come back in other seasons.

“AMAZING ”
Great food and attention to details. Traditional Japanese at it’s best. Worth trying this culinary experience.
