“Excellent teppanyaki with good service”

Located within Hotel Nikko Osaka. Teppanyaki Icho serves excellent teppanyaki. We had Kagawa beef, some seafood and vegetable which were all excellent The teppanyaki chef explained to us that the cows from which Kagawa beef is one produced are fed on a diet of grass and olives. My wife and I agre...e that it is one of the best beef we have ever eaten; literally melts in your mouth and tastes a little like foie gras, with a buttery after taste. The chef (Mr Nishi) takes great pride in his craft and serves every dish with a smile, suggesting to us the sauce and condiments that go best with the food. It was a real pleasure seeing the chef at work. Service staff members were good, providing attentive service. The more senior ones speak English. We had a very enjoyable meal.

“Excellent steak”

Normally if you pay for expensive steak in Japan, you will get marble steak which sometimes can be too oily and hard to finish. At this place, the steak is not too oily but amazingly tender. Side dishes are made of local ingredient. The place is cozy and quiet. The chef is friendly. Recommended if y...ou're in town.

It's very gentle welcome for guest who came as group, quiet, and delicious serving of each menu. I love the style and I found wakayama Ume ginger el that is nice for person who don't drink like me. Recommended this shop for lunch or dinner.

“Luxury evening”

A world class Teppanyaki restaurant located in the Hotel Nikko. We were staying in the hotel so not far to travel, and booking was simple process. We lashed out and had a couples special menu, including French champagne, several dishes from Ahijo to abalone, lobster, grade 5 beef and dessert. The ch...ef explained ingredients, showed us the raw ingredients to ensure we were satisfied, demonstrated that the seafood was alive, and cooked as we watched. There was none of the Teppanyaki games common in Australia, this was a more serious display of skill and quality. We enjoyed the meal greatly, were able to finish all that was offered, although I was certainly full at the end. The champagne was Lanson black label, and I finished the night with a chilled dry sake. Certainly pricey, as would be expected in a Nikko hotel.

Amazing dinner. Watching them make the food in front of you it is formidable. Their wine selection is very good - wine from New Zealand and Australia were amazing. The beef is something one should try once in life. Out of this world - probably the best we have ever had. It is not cheap the restauran...t but totally worth it. It is also great if you are a hotel guest of Nikko Osaka you get 10% off. Amazing experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
