When it came to the final dinner of our Osaka trip, my girlfriend and I decided to have an Omakase meal. I had high hopes for a Japanese restaurant that specializes in Omakase cuisine, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfying. My girlfriend and I had made an online reservation for a... bar table at 8 pm, but when we arrived before 8 pm, we were told that the bar table was full. We saw some empty seats there, but when we tried to explain that we had booked for the bar table, the language barrier became a problem. The waitress seemed uninterested and impatient, and it was only after some discussion through Google Translate that we were finally allowed to sit at the bar table. However, the experience only went downhill from there. The chef serving us seemed impolite, and other staff members were gossiping and staring at us, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. We couldn't help but feel disappointed and sad about the experience. It is worth noting that we can feel disrespected even if we did not understand Japanese. But the saddest part of the meal was the way the sushi was served. We had ordered 10 pieces of sushi each, but the chef served the first 5 sushi in just 7 minutes! My girlfriend and I were surprised by the fast pace and began to eat the following sushi slowly so the chef couldn't serve us that quickly. However, the total time it took us to finish the meal was just 50 minutes, which was far shorter than we expected for an Omakase meal. Moreover, the chef didn't introduce each sushi or give us time to appreciate the flavors. It felt as if the chef was trying to rush us through our meal as quickly as possible, which left us feeling even more sad and disappointed about the experience. To make matters worse, we found a piece of shrimp shell in one of the sushi, which was a careless mistake that should not have happened in an Omakase restaurant. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was unsatisfying and left us feeling sad and disappointed. The poor service, rushed meal, and careless mistake with the food only added to our disappointment. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a quality Omakase dining experience.
