“Excellent Kyoto kaiseki”

It's New Year's Day but they are open for business . There are a couple of private rooms but I sat at the counter since I was alone. Opted for the 10,000 yen kaiseki set menu A procession of beautiful dishes followed and most were delicious Most of the staff can't speak English so I couldn't ask ...them what I was eating for 1-2 dishes Service is excellent and they accompanied me to the road to get a cab
