I don’t really like extra thick ones, it is too chewy for me. But the drinks and regular thickness 牛舌 dish are good. You might want to avoid dating here, because the place is filled with smoke, and you will smell like BBQ after the meal.

I am from Miyagi Prefecture and I have known since my child food and it is a nationally famous restaurant.Beef tongue set meal is popular, and it is thick and soft beef tongue.In the evening, you can taste local sake and seasonal dishes from Miyagi. However,because it is a bit expensive,I go to eat ...on special days.There are many other delicious beef tongue specialty stores in Sendai, so I would like you to come.

There was a queue when I went but the wait wasn’t long as people usually eat fast here. Go for the Kiwami set. It’s the most expensive set but so worth it. Beef tongue was aromatic, tasty and the slices were thick. Soup that came with the set had tender beef chunks in it. Worth it!

Rikyu is a chain in Sendai specializing in beef tongue, a tender grilled meat dish that originated in Sendai. Ask for their happy hour menu for a multi course meal that’s a good value including a glass of beer. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor of Sendai Station.

Must try Beeftongue when in Sendai and this is one of the best places to try it. Staff friendly and have English Menu. Easy in/out location. Meats and flavours are good. Well priced between Y2000-3000 for Special Lunch Set. Good luck and enjoy!
