“Another local gem in Shibuya”
Caught up with an old friend after ages. Decided on going to this traditional Japanese Izakaya . Honestly, one needs to visit this place with someone who speaks Japanese otherwise it could be an ordeal. It's located in the back alleys of Shibuya behind Mark's city. If you plan to go on the weekends... it would be ideal to make a reservation. They have a variety of local dishes but I felt they had a larger selection of alcoholic beverages, specially sake. Well, by now I'm sure you know, don't expect large portions in this part of the world but food is definitely delicious, the food presentation is a feast for the eyes and the service was commendable. The Okonomiyaki (savory pancake) was cooked to perfection & the assorted Sashimi of Tuna, Salmon, Yellow Jack, Sea Bream, Scallops & Squid was fresh as ever, while the Yakitori was succulent & juicy. Aguri is definitely worth the visit.
