NOBU

Nobu Tokyo is currently, (probably), my favorite high-end restaurant in Tokyo. It really offers a really great dining experience and some really exceptional food. Plus, they have a pretty good selection of wine. So, if you're like me and enjoy a bottle of wine with your dinner, you can definitely ge...t it here. The Nobu chain of restaurants has evolved to a massive expansion of a lot of restaurants all across the globe. Each is unique to its own cultural setting. This being said, they also have a commonality. They each offer a unique blend of food, great service, and enjoyable environment. This location is no different. Speaking of location, this restaurant is located in Roppongi. But, keep in mind, this is not the central section of Roppongi. This is off to one side of that part of Tokyo. So, if you're planning to take a subway here, or anything like that, be prepare for a long walk. My suggestion is, you take a car here. That way you're going to arrive right at the front door. In terms of what they offer for food, they have a nice selection of several dishes. What I always get when I come here is their sashimi. You can do that by sitting at their sushi bar. Or, you can have the chef prepare it for your table, which is the way I tend to do it. I'm telling you, the sashimi is really exceptional at this restaurant. It's a really great blend, and it's a very enjoyable meal to eat. The overall atmosphere of this restaurant is, as stated, upscale. It's a very nice interior that is made up of the sushi bar and a small amount of tables throughout the dining area. Meaning, this is not one of those restaurants that becomes overcrowded like many places in Tokyo. Even when it's full, it's not a feeling of being packed in too tightly. One of the interesting things I find about this restaurant is that they have a dress code. Personally, I always dress on the more formal side of outerwear, so this isn't a problem for me. But, even though they do have a so-called dress code, I see people wearing some very funky clothing in here. Just keep that in mind. Don't let their dress code scare you in other words. In terms of clientele, it's mostly made up of travelers and tourists. For example, where I live in Los Angeles, the Nobu restaurant there is generally frequented by celebrities, professionals, and industry orientated individuals. This is not the case in Tokyo, however. Basically, you are going to encounter a lot of people that have come here to Tokyo, heard about the restaurant, and want to check it out. So, it's a very different vibe, as is the case with all Nobu's, across the globe. Overall, this is a really great restaurant. I really recommend it. It's a great dining experience. The staff here are all great. And, you are going to walk away having really enjoyed your meal.

Quality of the food was good, service very good, ambiance also but I expected more of a typical Japanese experience which this was not. It’s an international version of Japanese kitchen.

Came from Dubai to Tokyo for holiday so of course had to try one of our favorite restaurants NOBU. While the design of the restaurant and location is not the most glamorous, actually it looks quite basic, and even some of the guests were dressed casually, the food and service were as usual great. W...e enjoyed all the food and we ate a lot! Prices and portion sizes reasonable. Service very good. I recommend and would come again if ever in Tokyo
